Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy explains how PainFlow handles consumer health data. It is intended to supplement the Privacy Policy and provide additional transparency for users in places with consumer health privacy laws.
1. Scope
PainFlow is a personal health and wellness self-regulation app. Depending on how you use the app, some information you choose to enter may be considered consumer health data under certain U.S. state privacy laws.
This policy applies to consumer health data that PainFlow controls. It does not cover payment information processed by Apple or information controlled by third-party services.
2. Categories of consumer health data
PainFlow may collect the following categories of consumer health data when you choose to enter or generate them in the app:
- pain intensity, pain location, pain patterns, symptoms, flare-ups, triggers, and related timestamps;
- mood, energy, sleep, activity, routines, journal notes, check-ins, and self-regulation practice history;
- medication notes or care-related notes that you choose to record;
- subscription status and app diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and support PainFlow.
3. Sources
Consumer health data comes primarily from information you choose to enter in PainFlow. PainFlow does not integrate with Apple Health, HealthKit, or other external health services.
4. Purposes
PainFlow uses consumer health data only to:
- provide pain tracking, history, self-regulation, pacing, and support features;
- show patterns and summaries back to you inside the app;
- maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and provide support;
- manage Premium access and comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing
PainFlow does not sell consumer health data. PainFlow does not use consumer health data for third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, or cross-app tracking.
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate PainFlow, such as hosting, diagnostics, purchase validation, and customer support providers. They may process information only to provide services to PainFlow and must protect it appropriately.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your explicit consent.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, confirm, delete, or withdraw consent for certain processing of consumer health data. You can contact hello@painflow.app to make a request.
We may need to verify your request before acting on it. We will respond according to applicable law.
7. Changes
We may update this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy as PainFlow changes or legal requirements evolve. When we do, we will update the date above.
